Memorial Day and Mommy & Me morning out

So we had a very nice weekend here! Saturday was basically chore day and trying to catch up on some stuff around here. A lot of little thing needed to get done. So it did. On Sunday I packed a picnic lunch and we went to our local farm that is run by the county. It's a working farm and a lot of fun to explore. Then we went to one of our local parks and enjoyed playing there. We ate our picnic lunch at a covered picnic area. It was a great time. That evening Maddy and Matt went to a Memorial Day cook out and had a nice time, too. Sunday Maddy spent part of the afternoon playing in her new sandbox (that I got for $5 at a rummage sale). She LOVES it.

Then Matt used a flex day today and Maddy and I went to do some fun stuff. First we went shopping and then to a Pottery Place to paint pottery. Matt bought a gift certificate for me for the pottery wheel and I still had some $$ left so we used some more of it. Maddy chose a kitty mug and we painted that. Then we went to her favorite restaurant for a Chinese food lunch. She LOVES that place! Now she's down for a good long nap.

Maddy and I really don't have any plans for this week. I will need to try to plan something with our little playgroup. It's been rainy all day today so it was a perfect day to paint pottery.

I have a few plans for today though! Tonight I have a massage that will finish up my gift card. Then on Thursday I will most likely have Mom's Night Out given Matt doesn't need to work late. I'm excited for both. All I gotta say is that I'm passing out after my massage. :)

Have a good one!
