Tonight I honestly don't know if I'm coming or going. it's been a LONG and tiring day here and I am so ready to go to bed! But I thought I'd quick blog before going to bed.
Last night was rough after 2. Adrian ate at 2:30 and at that point Matt switched bedrooms to get some good sleep. He had taken the 11 feeding which I was grateful for. I had taken some nyquil so I was in no frame of mind to get up at 11. Anyway, the 2:30 feeding wound up spanning 2 hours. Adrian ate until about 2:50 and then pooped so I had to change that (3:30) and then at 3:45 he was ravenous so I gave him a bottle. He finally fell asleep about 4:15 and I was out right after. But by 4:45 he was grunting and moaning and groaning so I finally stuck him in his swing about 5 and then he slept well until 5:30. Again at 5:30 with the moaning and groaning. Turns out he was hungry again early! So another bottle there.
Then we were all up at 6 (well, me since 2:30 with about a 1/2 hour of sleep in there). Matt was soooo wonderful and let me sleep in until 8:30! How'd I thank him?? I refused to wake up! No kidding! Maddy and Matt were both yelling at me standing next to the bed and I never budged. Matt was scared to death for a split second or two thinking I had made him a widower!! I am a very LIGHT sleeper so that's not at all like me. I guess Maddy must have finally said something that clicked cause I woke up before Matt was going to shake me. Yes, shake me. He was freaked out!
Today was pretty good, but crazy here. Poor Maddy has watched way too much TV today because I worked on our baby announcements most of the morning while Adrian took a morning nap. I'm glad I did it then though. Cause Adrian barely slept the rest of the day! He is finally sleeping now. I think he got about 30 minutes of sleep between noon and 8:30 tonight!!! We switched formula consistencies (ready made to powdered) and I think it's messed with his digestive track a bit. He's more gassy than on the ready-made. I'm sure it will just take a couple days to adjust to it. He's not fussy though, thank goodness. Maddy also didn't nap for me today so that was rough but it does guarantee an early bedtime--7:15-7:30! That's a plus.
Matt accidently dropped Joe's insulin on the floor this morning and broke it. So Matt called CVS to fill it and at 2:30 the doctor called and told me she'd reorder it for us. I called at 6 to see if it was ready to be picked up and no such luck! So I called the vet and asked what was up and it turns out that they've misplaced his chart and the doctor who is overseeing it is not in but they are checking to see if they can get another doctor to OK it for us instead. UH YEAH. I need to give him his shot tomorrow morning, people! He can skip one dose since he is on so little, but he does still NEED it. Don't ask me how we're going to go and get it and get it home by the time he needs it tomorrow AM at 7:30. Fortunately, it's a 24 hour CVS and I know we'll be up tonight anyway so maybe I'll just trek out at 2 and get it then? LOL. In PJs and all with a baby and bottle in hand. Ha! Ok, maybe not. I'm just going slap happy.
Funny story. I gave Adrian a bath today while Maddy took a bath. I had Adrian's bathtub on the counter and when I was finished and he was dressed I went to unplug the drain. Well, I guess it was JUST ENOUGH off the sink that it starts going onto the counter! Then I couldn't get it plugged and I was feeding Adrian a bottle (with my chin since he had screamed bloody murder to get it while he was getting bathed). So I didn't really want to interrupt his bottle. So I tried to tilt the tub to get the drain (that I couldn't replug) over the sink and wound up tipping the entire bathtub over and spilling it ALL OVER the floor! A few towels later, the bathroom floor is clean. Oh well.
I sent out 84 baby announcements today! Some with additional pictures as well of Adrian and Maddy that I had done a week ago. They turned out really cute for including a newborn! Maddy did great as well but she always does. :) I bought another 20 postcard stamps to do a few more, too. Since oh, I have NINE HUNDRED left over!!! YEP! 900! Turns out that even though I only paid for 100 they sent me 1000! Yikes! I guess that's a great deal for $19! Still funny though.
Ok, off to get ready for bed since both kids are asleep!
