So I wanted to bring stuff to our trip down to DC like water bottles, granola bars, sun block, hats, etc.... I thought about the diaper bag, but knew I'd want to have free hands so I thought about my backpack that I've had for years--literally over half my life since freshman year of high school.
So the hunt was on Sunday morning for it and somehow, we found it! Everything fit wonderfully and we had both hands free which was good when having a two year old and a stroller, too.
Later on in the day, we were going to Josh and Karri's for dinner and I just repacked the backpack with toys for Maddy to play with while we were there. On the way over I was talking about next summer and instead said next 'semester'. Hmm.. amazing how that works, I wear a backpack and I go back to high school/ college.
We are all tired here today. Maddy has been very quiet and quite content to lay around and watch TV. I am also pretty tired. It was a fun but long weekend so it is nice to get the downtime. I am looking forward to our shared nap today (the only way I can really get her to take a nap, not that I'm complaining because I get one too although sometimes it's nice to get things done while she's napping too).
We did get the grocery shopping and meal planning done for the week. That's nice to have our meals planned out through Saturday.
