Today one of my mom friends stopped over to give me a bag of clothes that she no longer fits into (she's too small, go Jess, go Jess!) but I do. It's so nice to not have to buy a new summer wardrobe! I have a few things, but honestly I didn't have much in way of shorts. Now I'm SET!!! I'm so lucky to have friends who are willing to pass on clothes. There was a gorgeous dress in the bag and a really pretty red lacy blouse. Those will be fun to wear, too.
We've spent the weekend working on the house again. It's looking good and really getting there!
Maddy was thrilled to get out of the house today. She made two trips Lowes and also the grocery store. Plus we played outside a bit, too. We finally caught the carpenter bee that likes to hover in the middle of our deck. It scares the heck out of Maddy. So I caught it in her butterfly net and put it in her bug barn. She loved to look at it. She was pretty freaked out at first but I told her as long as she doesn't touch it she'd be fine. Then we... froze it... in the freezer. Well, it's the kindest way to go, honestly. But still, I felt bad. If we let it go it'd just go to the same place all over again. So what's the point of that (besides now making it mad, too)?
