YUCK.

So Maddy woke up about 10 last night, really warm. So we came downstairs and watched a bit of TV to let her cool off a bit. Of course, we plugged more fever reducer into her then. Then I put her back up to bed. She didn't fuss about going to bed. You could tell she didn't want to go though, but she tried to get cozy and went to sleep. About a half hour later she was up again. Poor kid.

So, her and I watched a bit of TV again and then we kicked daddy out of bed and her and I went to sleep. Or I guess you can call it sleep. I'd ask, "Who's bright idea was this one?" But it was mine, so I won't. :)

She did sleep on and off and I was able to monitor her temp and make sure she didn't get bundled up in blankets. Plus, I was able to give her water periodically through the night. So overall, it was a good thing. But how does a 2 year old take up more space than a 29 year old 6 foot 3 inch man? How does that happen? Well, she wanted to snuggle me so I had to keep pushing her away just a bit so she wouldn't snuggle me TOO much and again, get overheated.

She was up again at 4 and we did the meds/TV again for a bit and back off to bed we went. She watched TV with Matt so she enjoyed that. Speaking of poor Matt, since we got rid of the bed a bit early (he wanted it to go ASAP) he had to sleep on the basement couch. But it's better than sleeping with her.

I woke up feeling achy and cold this morning. I think I do have strep, but I think I'm getting something on top of it as well. YUCK. No party for us this Friday! She still has a fever and I am feeling bad again with a bit of a fever so what I have must be viral? Maybe what she has REALLY IS viral?? Hmm... not that I overly doubt doctors, butI know strep and I had it. She had a sore throat and it would just make logical sense.

She's still running between 99.6 and 101.5 periodically. I'm religiously pumping the meds ever four-six hours or when I feel they run out (no less than every four hours). She did have a bath this morning, she needed it and I thought it would make her feel a bit better. I didn't wash her hair though. Now we're both hanging out in sweats while I have a load of laundry going. And that is going to be the extent of our day around here today!

Need to call the doctor and see how the second strep test turned out...

Tea of the day:Orange Deluce, Ginger Snappish herbal and much, much more!
