Neat! Toys R Us is open until Midnight!!

How do I know this, you ask? Well, I was there at 11:00. That's how I know. Why was I at Toys R Us at 11? Well, I asked Maddy what she wanted from Santa this year and she told me a necklace. WHAT?!? Ok, Ok... I see... so I ask again.. "Maddy, when Santa bring you presents, what present do you want?" Again--a necklace. Ok, well, I guess I need to go get a necklace. After all, it's not all that expensive and it's the first thing she's actually requested from Santa. Not to mention, she seemed to kind of get it... so... off to Toys R Us we went.

I didn't actually get her a necklace though. :) I did buy her a dress up kit with purse, cell phone, car keys, credit card, rings and bracelets. For good measure I also bought her a tool box kit too, since she loves to fix things with daddy's screw drivers. Jack of all trades, that's my girl!

Matt and I went out for a very nice dinner tonight--steak and lobster. We even purchased a bottle of wine. We normally will get a drink or two, but I hate buying the same bottle of wine I can get in the grocery store for half the price. Well, the markup wasn't that bad, so we bought one to share there. I have to say, it was heavenly. We also ordered calamari for an appetizer and I think it was the best I had yet. Very nice! We skipped dessert and drove down to DC to look at the Capital Christmas tree lights and the White House lights. It's neat living so close to DC.

Speaking of, I think Matt's parents, Maddy and I may drive into DC tomorrow to go check out the Christmas trees in the morning. It will be pretty dead because I'm sure no one will be at work anyway. Maddy's never seen DC so it would be a good outing for her. It's supposed to be a high of 50 so that's not bad either. I'll take the big stroller with us so that way if we have to walk she'll tolerate it better.

Maddy is having a great time with grammie and paw-paw. It's cute how she'll call to them from a different room, "Graaaaaandmaaaaa!" PaaaaaaPaaaaaa!" She'll run up to them and pull them by the hand to what she wants them to do. She's had a blast.

Ok, well, it's off to bed. It's after midnight so I guess I can wish you a happy Christmas eve day. I hope your Christmas is everything you hoped it would be and more. God bless and remember that Jesus is the reason for the Season! Lots of love.

Tea of the day: Papaya Green tea, I made a pot of it to share around the house this afternoon.
