Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas Eve day. I wrapped my last gift at 4:00 yesterday afternoon. :)
Our plans did not pan out yesterday to go into DC to look at the Holiday lights on the Mall. Maddy wound up sleeping with me for part fo the night last night because she's not feeling well. She's caught a cold, unfortunately, and has a little bit of a cough. No need to get her cold or expose her to so much outside air, so we stayed home and she had a blast playing with Grandma and Grandpa. Overall, the cold wasn't all that bad since she's been up and about playing--no fever.
This evening she went to bed fine, but after three hours woke up crying and feeling pretty miserable, so now tonight she's sleeping with daddy. I just heard them up so I went up to check out and see how things were.
On the way up, I noticed that Santa has already came to our house. I don't know how he got past me while I slept on the couch in the living room, but he did! ;-) Of course, I kept you-know-who's visit a secret from Maddypants because of you-know-why!
Well, I suppose I should try to go back to sleep. I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Christmas Day filled with love, peace, happiness and joy because the promise of a Savior has come true.
