So after some hemming and hawing I decided to go to Urgent care when Matt returned home from work (he went in for a bit today since he took off Thursday and Friday since the heat guys were here). He walked in at 4:50 and I walked out at 5. Maddy was crying hysterically at the gate yelling, "GO! GO!! GOO!!!" She of course, wanted to come with and get out of the house. That kid does NOT like being cooped up.
I was a bit nervous about what would happen. I knew I didn't have a fever. I wasn't all that achy and honestly, my throat didn't even hurt all that bad. However, the white spots were getting worse and not better, so I thought it was in Maddy's best interest to try to get some meds into me so she doesn't catch it.
I was very pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was seen and then discharged. They did prescribe a antibiotic for me so I was pretty happy with that.
I made it over to CVS, went inside to find out their pharmacy was closed. So I got back in my car to go to a different CVS which I knew was open.
But my car wouldn't start......
DAMMIT!
So I call Matt. He was out with Maddy at Mac Donalds so he came to get me. He tried jumping the car, but it didn't work. I'm pretty sure it was the starter.
So he dropped me off with Maddy at home. By this point, my throat was feeling pretty bad. Matt ran out to CVS to pick up my prescription. I quickly got Maddy into the bathtub and back out again after letting her play for a while. We watched some TV while I tried to get some food into her. Matt came home and I dropped her on him so I could get some cold water and hot soup. Now I'm drinking tea and it's SOOO nice.
I guess we'll need to get my car towed from the CVS parking lot tomorrow and over to the shop. At least I'm on antibiotics!
