Happy Saturday, everyone. Not a whole ton going on here today. I was able to sleep in this morning until 8. It was so nice. Maddy got up at 6 and Matt stayed up with her. Tomorrow is his day to sleep in. We have church to go to though, so he won't be able to sleep in much past 8:30. I had a hard time sleeping last night. I just woke up about 2 and was wide awake for two hours. I hate that.
After we all had breakfast Matt got a shower and then I did. I had talked about needing to go grocery shopping today for our week's groceries. By the time I got out of my shower (and really, I wasn't all that long) he was gone with Maddy! He stopped at the ATM and then went to Wegmans for groceries. While he was gone I went through some of Maddy's toys, collapsed and took her box fort out to the garbage since she no longer plays with it and vacuumed all the floors. When she gets up I'll wash the kitchen, bathroom and foyer floors and dust a bit, too.
Matt picked up some great items from the Wegman's salad bar for our lunch today. He knew he'd be getting home close to nap, so he wanted to eat fast before she went down. He did a great job of picking out some nice (and healthy) choices, too! Yum.
When Maddy went down for her nap I ran out to the post office to mail my little crafty projects I worked on yesterday during Maddy's nap. I stopped at Bloom to pick up a few things I forgot to put on Matt's list for the store (not that I knew he would be going).
We bought our things for New Years Eve today. We picked up two bottles of Martini and Rossi Asti, smoked Gouda wth crackers and smoked salmon with cream cheese, pepper on crackers. I'm excited for that. We haven't had crackers, cheese and smoked salmon for a very long time!
I haven't told Matt, but I'm starting to think about taking down the Christmas decorations. If I can get the boxes up I can most likely get things packed away during the week and get all the old stuff laid out. I want to get on that soon, though.
Ok, off to finish off my decaf caramel truffle coffee with splenda and creamer.
