We had our first snow today! We woke up to a light dusting but I guess we're supposed to have 2-4. I was soooo excited. I know all my WI readers are rolling their eyes right now since they've had a ton of snow and are probably tired of it by now, but I still love it. Maddy and I went out to play in it and she had a blast. The snowsuit is a bit big, but it fits her well. We don't have boots yet, but I'll look into buying some. She did have on mittens, but she doesn't like them as much as gloves so I put those on her instead. Of course, I do what I do every first snowfall. I heat up some hot chocolate! It was the lure of hot chocolate that got Maddy into the house. I think she would have stayed out there all day!
Tomorrow morning is St. Nick's. Maddy's stocking is all ready to go. I'm excited for her to see it. She still loves her advent calendar as do I. I love mine, too, but I'm good about not eating a ton of chocolate that is in it. I'll be sure to take pictures of Maddy's St. Nick opening. She'll love it this year.
So I've been getting rid of stuff lately. I'm giving away our office chair, our double bed and frame, our old Christmas tree and our vacuum cleaner! I'm so glad to be rid of it all but not just wasting it by throwing it out. They were all in fine condition and I'm glad someone can use it!
Tomorrow we get our entire heating system replaced (minus the humidifier that will be put on the new system). It's supposed to be a high of 35 tomorrow! So I think Maddy and I will spend our time elsewhere. Matt will be home to supervise the guys. I'm hoping to put our space heater in Maddy's room and we will hang out in there before nap to get her used to it. She hates loud fans and I know she won't like this one. But if I can get her adjusted to it at least she can get a comfortable nap. We'll most likely go out again in the afternoon as well. Dunno where, but we will!
