Well, after a bit of a harried drive to the class. I thought I missed my turn but really hadn't gone far enough and not to mention, rush hour traffic in Northern VA.... I showed up about 10 minutes late. Then after trying to find a wheel that spun in reverse (I'm a lefty afterall) one did not work and the other only spun in forward mode... I gave up and just used a forward mode wheel. I figured, it's been 10 years anyway, I'm sure I'm so out of the loop that I can learn to do pottery right handed. Afterall, I cut with my right hand.
So I started in. I thought for sure that my first few tries would be horrible, but you know? I never had to throw anything away and start over! In fact, all three pots are perfectly centered and and look pretty darn good!
So, after 10 years and a forward spinning wheel, I am three pots in. I need to tool them next week, and we'll see how that goes. But as of right now, I'm very pleased.
Also, normally when I go somewhere late at night I'm WIRED when I get home. But not tonight. I'm really calm and relaxed, that's what clay does to me.
Ok, off to bed.
Tea of the day: 3 cups foxtrot herbal
WO of the day: I barely fit in my 30 minutes elliptical and shower during Maddy's nap, but I did it!
