Well, I think a good time was had by all this weekend. Matt's parents got her on Friday and we all had Five Guys for dinner. They do make the best burgers. Maddy really enjoyed playing with grandma and grandpa!!!
Matt was super impressed with the amount of organizing and putting away I did throughout the last part of the week that all we had to do was put up the bed! That was it! We didn't need to run around crazy and try to put stuff away to make that spare room habitable.
Maddy's been having a hard time sleeping the last few nights. It's been frustrating for all of us.
Saturday morning Matt had a church council meeting and he mentioned transfer and didn't get any grief about it from the board which is good. It was a long meeting and as usual he came home frustrated. Poor guy. After he came home and Maddy went down for a nap, he and I went to Lowes. We were there for 2 and a 1/2 hours! It was crazy! But, we did get a lot of what we needed. My parents gave us a GC to Lowes and we used the entire thing on Saturday. It really came in handy.
Sunday Matt stayed home from church and I went because I taught Sunday School. I honestly would have stayed home too due to the weather. It was just really junky--windy, cold and a bit of water in the air. It was sooo windy that we have a lot of down tree limbs near us. But that bit of water stung because of all the wind. I was glad to get home. After Maddy's nap on Sunday I made enchiladas for dinner and they were heavenly. I froze the left overs. Matt worked all day on Sunday putting the trim in the spare room and it's virtually done!
Matt's mom took off work and was able to stay through Monday which is really nice. On Monday because of the weather they stayed another day! Very cool! So I worked out both days while they watched Maddy and it's great to not have to jump out of bed and work out at 6:30. Back to the grind tomorrow though. Since they were here they offered to let me get out and do what I wanted so I met up with Matt for lunch which was great. And then I went to Greatland Target to pick up some groceries and other items. I scored a lot of great Easter Stuff for Maddy for next year at 90% off!!!!! Can't go wrong with that.
Matt's parents treated us to Wegmans deli last night. As usual, I went with their sushi which I love. They even surprised us by picking up some individual sized desserts and they got me my favorite--peanut butter pie! I was only able to eat 1/2 since I was so full from sushi and potato pancake (also a great Wegmans food). So I guess I have another treat coming tonight!
Last night Matt and his dad went out to see 300 and Matt's mom and I watched a couple of my Tivo'd shows. We watched a Great Hotels on St. Regis. And so help me, if I ever win the lottery (can't win if you don't play and I don't play) I am staying at the Regis while I'm in NYC!! WOW. It is impressive. I've always wanted my own butler. ;) We also watched a Small Spaces Big Design and a couple Offbeat Americas.
When Matt and his dad got home from the movie we watched Dancing with the Stars. I love that show on Tivo. I get to cut out all the crud and just fast forward through all the talk. Heather Mills drives me nuts though. Most people I know with disabilities don't like to bring attention to their disability. They want to be like everyone else. But not her, she will milk her artificial limb for every point she can get. The judges fall for it, too. This is a dance competition, not a dance but feel sorry for me and give me points competition. I don't see them giving John Ratsenberger additional points because he's older and has arthritis. They shouldn't either, that's not the point! It's judging the dance without factoring in other issues.
I'm thrilled to say Maddy's been eating pretty well today. She has not the last few days. I think she finally figured out she's hungry and now is finally eating. It's been frustrating. Grandma even tried five things during lunch yesterday but she wouldn't have any of it! I'm glad to know it's not just me though.
Alright, well, I have chores to do! Have a good one, everyone!
Tea of the day: Coffee the last few days since it was there.
WO of the day: 30 minutes elliptical yesterday and today.

I LOVE picking up stuff from Target after holidays - and so much of it will keep for a year.
I try to go the day after a holiday for the 50% off sale (esp. for things that are really popular - wow, was it picked over fast!), and then hold off until a few days later for the 75% or 90% off sales for things that just seems to hang around the store. I couldn't get over for 90% this year, but held out for 75% to get some great buckets for only $2!
