What DON'T I hear?! Oh yeah! It's crying! Yep, Maddy put herself to sleep last night for the first time in about 5 days. She was wide awake when Matt laid her down too, but she did it! On her own!
Her schedule was a bit screwy yesterday with the carpet people and then Pastor over last night. But she did great.
She was so cute last night with Pastor here. She has the cutest shy look when she is meeting new people. She turns her head all the way and down to the right and smiles up through her big blue eyes. Pastor and the Council leader sat on the couch and Maddy played between on the floor between Matt's legs while he sat in the chair opposite them. You could see her thought process, "Ok, I have Daddy behind me, daddy on the left and daddy on the right. I can play and have fun because if they try to do a single thing, Daddy will take care of me!" She did get more comfortable as time went on and she toddled over to me (as long as we held one hand) and played with me for a bit. It was fun to see her take it all in.
After my work out this morning I think Maddy and I will run to the grocery store and bank. I only need a few things at the store so maybe we'll take a detour to the mall as well. I never did get there yesterday. Or maybe I'll go do those things tonight after she's in bed. Don't know, but I do know I want to get out and about today!
