Well, I'm off! Have a lot of stuff to do today during Maddy's afternoon nap. I just wanted to check in quick and wish everyone a good weekend. Matt's parents are coming up this weekend to help us bring home the headboard we bought with their truck. Matt and I are hoping to clean out the basement at least a little bit this weekend, too. So I probably won't be around much. Honestly, I'm REALLY not looking forward to going through the basement. Matt thinks it will take 'Saturday'--ah, always an optimist and underestimater (probably not a real word, huh?). I love him for that though, he balances me out. Well, at least most of the time! He's been on a single family house kick lately though. And when Matt gets revved up about something--boy does he! It's not that I wouldn't like a single family house, but we have enough to do to this house before we can sell it. (Hence the reason we are sorting the basement. The less we have down there, the less we need to store, the less we need to POD when we finish that spare room. Plus, we need to use our storage space wisely, which we aren't right now.) Plus, I don't think we can really afford it right now. Matt thinks we can. I'm not saying he thinks money grows on trees, but we each have a different idea of what kind of 'cushion' we should have in liquid cash. Mine is higher than his, obviously. I also think he underestimates the amount some of these projects are going to cost in the long haul.
Well, it's good though. He's the optimist, looking at the big picture, the end goal. I'm more of the pessimist, looking at the little steps that need to happen before the end goal. It can be frustrating, I'll admit, trying to reign him in sometimes. I hate to be a damper on his parade, too. But I'm also not going to let us get out there on a limb with no way back in! So... ying, yang... it works!
Have a great weekend! I will be spending mine cleaning. *ICK, PPHHHHFT!*
Tea of the day: 2 cups Ahmad English Breakfast
WO of the day: 20 minutes elliptical because Maddy woke up 15 minutes in and started to make a lot of noise. But now I think she's back down! I will probably try to fit in some strength training next nap!
