Why does it seem like household chores are never finished? Yesterday, I did all the laundry and used my new retractable clothes line outside for the first time. It worked out really nice except I ran out of room! HA! I had to hang four shirts inside the house instead of outside. But the queen sheets were on the line and they take up a lot of room. It's nice to have the smell of fresh laundry from the outdoors on the clothes again. Although, the laundry always turns out hard and not very soft when hung outside. But it save electricity from not running the dryer.
But back to what I was saying. It seems like household chores never get done! As soon as I wash one bottle there's a dishwasher to unload. And after I unload the dishwasher, there's some clothes to fold, then some floors to sweep--let's not even TALK about dusting and vacuuming. I don't do those unless I can start seeing cat prints on the tables!
Oh well, it keeps me busy, right?
What I find amusing is that I actually almost *enjoy* going to the grocery store by myself now. I used to HATE grocery shopping. But now I go when Maddy is in bed and I get out of the house by myself as an adult. Oh--the exciting life I lead! When grocery shopping turns into a night out, that's just downright pathetic.
Maddy decided to let loose yesterday and she threw up for the first time in the morning. I gave her a bit of kiwi and it went down wrong and got stuck in her throat a bit. Her gag reflex kicked in and she upchucked her entire bottle. Then later we had an explosive diaper after her nap. Oooh...the fun of bodily fluids! HA!
Maddy had a hard time going to bed last night with Matt while I was out grocery shopping. I guess he had to go up at least a couple of times and he would think he has her asleep but she'd wake up crying again. After I got home and unpacked the groceries with Matt she started in again. I went up and gave her some tylanol for her teeth and she fell asleep in my arms. She didn't wake up again and slept all night!
I did have insomnia last night though, even though I didn't have caffeine, wine, chocolate or anything before bed. I tried to lay there instead of getting up and I think that was worse than me getting out of bed. The alarm went off at 6 today (for me to work out--which I STILL haven't accomplished yet) and I turned it off and rolled back over to fall asleep.
It's rainy and dreary out today. I kind of like it though. It's relaxing. I made oatmeal for breakfast with Trader Joe's spiced pumpkin granola and cinnamon drops (think chocolate chips but cinnamon). It was a nice fall breakfast! I found my Adagio Pumpkin Spice Tea mixed in with some other teas so I will need to have some of that later since I had already made myself some Cinnamon tea.
I have more on tea and coffee, but that will have to wait until tomorrow!
Well, anyway, that's enough of that for this nap period. Time to get back to the chores!
