Indian Summer!

Well, you won't believe how hot it is here today! It's 75 degrees and sunny! Tomorrow is supposed to be the same way! This morning I put on jeans and a sweatshirt. I put Maddy in a turtleneck and a cute pair of pants. It was grey and foggy. It was *almost* raining--very gross. But after the fog cleared up it turned into a beautiful day. I changed into a tshirt and put her in a short sleeve onsie.

We went outside and played in the grass today. I was actually sweating it was so warm. I put a hat on Maddy and tied it under her chin. Off it went. I put it on again. Off it went AGAIN. I put it on again. This time she yelled and me and pulled it off. I couldn't help but laugh, sweep her up in my arms and kiss her! It was just too funny and so cute. Needless to say, the hat didn't stay on. Yes, I even tried again after that too.

After playing in the grass I decided to grab her stroller and take her to the park right around the corner. There was a little boy there and his grandma who came over to talk with us. Maddy just loved him and kept waving at both of them. So grandma and I stood around and talked while Maddy swung and the boy played. I'm sure we'll go out for a walk this evening as well.

Tomorrow I need to go to Kmart and get my flu shot. It's $25 but well worth it. I still need to get one for Maddy too, but the pediatrician doesn't have any in right now and our family doctor is out as well! I will keep checking back. After Kmart I think we'll head to the mall. I want to pick up black socks and shoes for Maddy to go with her Ladybug outfit for Halloween. Do you know how hard it is to find black socks for babies? I'll need to check the dress socks in the infant boy section. She can use red too, but those are also hard to find. I also need to take back a blush I bought at Sephora that was a bit bright and MAC is coming out with their Holiday palettes so I want to take a look at them as well. Plus, I want to look around for a gift for a special somebody but I won't name names since she may be reading here!

Hopefully, we'll be out of the mall early enough to get the stroller outside and go for a few walks! We must enjoy this weather while we have it because soon winter will be upon us!

Tomorrow night I have a Sunday School meeting at church. I teach Sunday School this Sunday which is GOOD. I haven't been to church since my birthday over a month ago! YESH. I will probably drag Matt with me and Maddy will most likely stay home with grandma and grandpa. They are coming this weekend! I'm excited to see them, since we haven't in quite a while. Once Maddy drops her morning naps, she'll be more ready to come to church with us. As it is now, her naps always fall when church is supposed to be.

I really enjoy teaching Sunday School though. I miss teaching, really. I don't miss the early morning hours, the paperwork, the politics, the meetings, but I do MISS teaching. I miss my kids and some of my coworkers. So Sunday School is a nice way to keep me in the game. I enjoy it a lot.

Kristen:

I know another thing you DON'T miss about teaching Becky! All the bugs and germs! I got my first one since going back to work. I have an ear infection, sinus infection and I lost my voice. I am so sick I am going to drag my buitt to drop Tomás off at the sitters so I can sleep all day. He was up every hour last night. I don't know whether it's teething or what. I am sooo tired.

Becky:

Oh Kristen! I'm so sorry to hear you aren't well! I can't believe you have all three infections! How horrid! I hope you feel better really soon!!!

You're right, that's something I have taken for granted, not getting sick. *Knock on wood* I've only had one slight cold since Maddy was born. I was sick all the time when I taught. It was a sick building though too-OLD, Mold, mildew, stale air.
