Happy Halloween!

Yeesh, yesterday was a really long day! I don't know what it was, but my mind was just racing with things I wanted to get done in the house besides the normal stuff. I did all the wash and put it all away. I fit in my work out and quick shower. I unloaded the dishwasher, cleared out the trash cans (even the one we never empty in the laundry room), vacuumed, and got out our winter gear (hats, gloves and scarves). Then, of course, I decided they needed a washing as well. I didn't bring them in off the clothes line until 7:30 tonight!

I also chose as well to go through Maddy's toys and put away ones she no longer plays with and reorganize what she DOES play with. Of course, as I packed stuff away she'd come up behind me and take it out.

Fortunately, she took a decent morning nap that allowed me to get the load hung out, my work out in and my shower in, too. I can't say as much for her afternoon nap.

Today should be a little less busy. I was able to get up at 6 for my work out and shower. The work out was still pretty tired and my muscles weren't awake yet. But it was nice to just get up and do it. It's really nice to be showered and basically ready for my day too. I still want to clean bathrooms and do some floor work today since I didn't get that done yesterday.

Matt had to work late last night because he had his six month cleaning at the dentist in the mid-afternoon. I knew he'd have to work late, so that's not an issue. I think he could hear how tired I was in my voice when he called me earlier because he even brought home some gourmet chocolates from a shop near his work called Edibles Incredible. That was totally unexpected and very sweet of him! I had one last night and tried a small nibble of a couple more.

So tonight is Halloween! Our candy is ready to go (and no, I haven't even dipped in AT ALL yet). We bought different assortments of candybars and also lemon heads, atomic fire balls and gobstoppers. Man, I loved Gobstoppers in High School! I've actually been very GOOD with the baked items I've made lately. I've sent the majority of it with Matt for lunch, to his work to share and to the neighbors. So I've had maybe one or two pieces of something and then I've sent the rest away! Maddy is going as a ladybug. Although I have some pictures, I will take more tonight. I'll probably parade her up and down the block some, but other than that, it'll be close to her bedtime! Of course, we won't actually go trick-or-treating. She's too little for that. But, man is she cute in that outfit.

Other than that, nothing new here! Happy Halloween! Hope this finds you well!
