Welcome to my blog! I don't know how interesting it will be to read about the life of a At Home Mom. But if you make it through the entries, a big pat on the back for staying awake. :)

It has finally stopped raining here and was cool this morning! Maddy and I took a walk around the neighborhood. It's been rainy all week which I didn't mind since we haven't had much rain. It was a gentle rain too, so it was pretty peaceful. The grass is nice and green too (albeit, too long now). We haven't taken a walk in the morning for a VERY long time. Normally, Matt, Maddy and I will take evening walks instead before bed. I think she was pleasantly surprised! We stopped at the park on the way home and Maddy swung on the baby swing. She LOVES the swing. She can hang out there all day.

Anyway, I guess since this is still a test blog right now there's no point in writing a lot. And there are a lot of chores to do today!

Well, Maddy and I made it to my parents' house safe and sound! She was fabulous on the plane. The new little toys, snacks and drink did the trick. (I think the Benedryl helped too.) She's been sleeping through the night every night. I definitely can't complain. Naps, well... they are hit and miss. But they are happening so I can't complain.

I've been seeing a lot of friends while I'm here. It's been a ton of fun. Maddy got to play with my friend's little girl, Chloe, yesterday. It was fun to watch them interact. However, Maddy wanted to keep touching (hitting/scratching) Chloe in the face to play. Not quite good, but they had fun together. They snacked on cherrios and fruit/veggie puffs and it was so cute to see them sit next to each other eating.

It's been fun to see my folks interact with Maddy. She loves to snuggle with them. She laughs and plays with them. She likes to complain to grandpa though. Don't know why. She's been having fun though! She loves the new toys they have for her. We've been taking our daily walks and everything like that.

She must keep mom in sight though. Heaven forbid I leave the room! But she's great with new people as long as I'm around.

Well, I'll update more later. But I'm going to go and hang out!
